For those who are going to UCSD for Fall 2008, please leave your message here and let us know more about how are you going to do with housing problem. Live in dorm? off-campus housing? Then are you going to find house?

For me personally, I have no idea since I have never been SD yet, therefore, I need you guys ideas!

"theres roughly 6 threads on this already..."

... and counting (im sure)

i don't know what i'm gonna do about housing, i just realized that i do know 2 people in san diego (they go to sdsu) but i wouldn't want to live with them.

attending UC's as transfers sucks sometimes..

UCSD= no housing
UCSB= i need a response.. am i accepted?
UCD= decision pending.. and will still pend for at least 2 more weeks

I'll be living off campus, although I don't know what I'm going to be doing yet. I have a relative in the area who I think will be able to help me find somewhere to live.

Re Orozcosg: you still waiting for UCD. I think UCSD is better compare to UCD since I heard my friends said UCD locates at a place with nothing.

I am facing the same issue with UCSD, I've got in and I am still waiting on UCLA and UCI. Realistically, the only available housing in San Diego is off campus, I know that is what I am going to be doing if SD is where I choose.

Do you know how can we find house for off-campus? I am confusing. I dont know much! I wonder if we have to find house by ourself or UCSD will find for us (by filling application form)?

If I decide on SD, I am going to go on May 10 (the Transfer Admit Open House Day) and ask about housing options, it would be really cool if they helped you find a place close to campus, but I am thinking I am just going to be looking for an apartment close to campus. Thats my plan, so I suggest you either call or just do something similar.
