Hi, I'm transferring to UCSD this fall for the major or General Biology.

I have no idea what classes I am supposed to take when I transfer and registration for fall is already open... but there are so many wait listed classes already because of budget cuts so I need to take some action fast. How is one supposed to know what class to take?

Can somebody please help?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Follow the plan in the link you posted, and take classes that you need in order to graduate.

i believe there is supposed to be an orientation for ucsd where they help you with picking classes and stuff like that…I may be mistaken. Call up an admissions officer.

Email an advisor in the department for your major. They will load up all your transferable courses and can help you with a plan for your fall quarter. If you want more guidance, you usually get that during your orientation.

Yeah they’ll explain more during the orientation. I believe it’s going to be sometime this summer. I also heard that they reserve spots for transfer students so there’s no need to worry if the classes are already filling up

Blah… you guys I want to change my major to Molecular Biology now because I want to go into Pharmacy later. and they say that Biochem or Molecular Biology are good majors to pursue if you want to go to graduate or professional schools…
