What i mean was, has anybody received notification of admission, that was a tag “checker”?

I’m TAG, and haven’t received any sort of congratulatory notification of admission… yet! Dag nabbit- hurry up UCSD! :P

When I logged into https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/public/newparent/index.php, I got this msg

"Due to space limitations, the Warren College Parent Orientation Program has now reached full capacity. We are unable to accept any more attendees at this time. If you wish to put your name on a waiting list, please send your name and contact information to wow@ucsd.edu and we will contact you should space become available. "

Does this mean I got in?

No they are all new, just say you’re a first time user.

check this one out! go to add payer under the payment link on the left and it shows this

<a href=“ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs”>ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs;

hm so is that a better “sign” of whether you get in or not? I got the same msg as well.

Not many people receive admission notices in the first wave, i would imagine if we’re all seeing it then it definitely doesn’t mean anything.

so is anyone else seein it?
or not seeing it?

I see it. It only changed within the past hour, too.

i see what everyone else sees… except nothing happens when i go to https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/public/newparent/index.php, it just refreshes the page…

Gah, the suspense is killing me right now, I wonder if this is any sort of indicator at all.

^ are you tagged?

I’m not and that parent page doesn’t work for me either.

I’m TAG and the parent page shows my third choice.

I really wouldn’t look too much into this stuff, guys. When I applied from HS, I was able to see all of this “trick” or “current student-UI” stuff for UCSD and UCLA. Even though I was accepted at UCSD, I was rejected from LA.

Let’s say you got in UCSD and you saw this stuff now, that can just be a huge coincidence. When I was choosing a residential college for SC, there was a huge facebook thread about a trick to show which residential dorm you got. Even though it “worked” for 70-80% of the people who tried it, it can literally be a huge coincidence. One person who was a web-intern for the UCSC website posted on that thread that most of the tricks just display information that you submitted (i.e. your preferences in priority for colleges, terms applied for, etc.) Even if it listed your 1st or 3rd choice (this actually applies to UCSD’s “trick”), it’s because the system had too many people choose a certain college over another. So if your portal displays Muir, it’s because a college like Revelle had too many applicants. It doesn’t mean you got accepted and you are going to Muir, it just means the system had to “place” you somewhere before your actual acceptance/rejection.

Don’t try to beat the system, just wait a couple of weeks to get a legitimate answer.

thanks for the words of wisdom, gonna take this mess with a grain of salt.

Edit: or at least try to, i mean for gods sakes we can order transcripts already!

Last year there were only two legit leaks:

1) A change in the housing message
2) The ability to register for Transfer Admit Day

Unfortunately, the page that links you to a particular school doesn’t guarantee anything.

Also…I am guessing the decisions will begin to be batched out this Friday, as the 12th is the first day admitted students can begin to reserve a spot online for transfer day (which is May 8th).

Try to just kick back while decisions roll out…the wave pattern is grueling, and from what I gathered last year, they only send them out once every week to every couple of weeks. I remember people beginning to hear back around mid-March, but I didn’t hear back until mid-April.

Good luck, everyone! :)

Yeah so. I’m not seeing that page on my TritonLink site anymore. Weird?

everything still shows for me, can you not login to tritonlink right now?

Nope, I’m logging in, but that dropdown menu is showing up again. (An hour ago it took me straight to all the good stuff.)
