What does it take to get into UCSD’s Third World Studies major, is it relatively easy to get into? Does this major get impacted and how many get accepted ? Thank You :-h
Currently, only engineering majors are impacted (https://students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/impacted-majors.html). Only impacted majors are competitive. All other majors accept any student, and you can switch freely between them.
A couple of years ago biology majors were impacted, but they are no longer impacted. I don’t think there have been other majors that have become impacted in recent years, so I wouldn’t be overly concerned that this major will become impacted. I doubt it will, but on the off chance that it does, they usually give notice.
