<p>The biggest difference is that Management Science requires the 20 series rather than the 10 series. The 10 series is a walk in the park compared to the 20 series. Also, the Economics major is mainly composed of a bunch of electives after taking the 100/120 series (which every economics major takes) and the 110 series. (Macroeconomics)</p>
<p>To be honest with you, i find the economics major for only those who really really dislike math. In my opinion however, it doesnt matter what degree you earned but rather what you know. The management science degree at least requires more math and more helpful classes (imo) in operations and finance whereas the economics major can get away with any type of classes they want. (But they could technically take very similar classes)</p>
