UCSD math test - AP Calc?

I took the AP Calc BC exam, I'm pretty sure I got a 2 or better. The math placement test is this Saturday... How do I know if I'm supposed to take it when AP scores come out in July?

Use your gut feeling. If you’re sure you got that 2 or better, then don’t take it?

i think that if you take the placement and end up getting a 2 or better on the ap test, they consider the score that would place you higher.
but im not sure on that. someone told me.

Found out the answer myself:

A score of 2 or higher on the AP Calculus AB exam (includes AB subscores on the BC exam) or a score of 3 or higher on the AP Calculus BC exam. If you took the AP Calculus AB or BC exam on May 5, then you do NOT need to take the MPE before you receive your AP score report in July. However, if you think that you may not receive a qualifying score on the exam, then you may want to take the MPE early (late May or June). When you receive your AP score report in July and you find that you did not receive a qualifying score, you would need to take a MPE. The MPE will still be offered several times in July, August, and September to allow you an opportunity to satisfy your course prerequisite
