<p>bc is ranked somewhat lower than ucsd. also ucsd's poli sci is ranked 7th in the country. i dont believe bc falls in the top 25. if your in state for ucsd why would you go to a lower ranked school, bc, with a lower ranked program in poli sci, and pay far more for it. on the westcoast more people would likely think of ucsd as far more academicly rigorous. the only reason ucsd is not more known on the east coast is it is relatively new compared to other universities ranked as high as it is, and it doesnt have division one sports teams. but in the academic world, i feel ucsd is significantly more respected than bc. i dont even feel academically they are in the same league. but you would likely have a more fun socially at bc, and if thats important that is deff something you should take into account.</p>
