UCSD off campus housing pt 2

i didnt grad highschool here i moved here after the army…

So I went to the On Campus Housing info session thing today. I wasn’t convinced.

They’re assigning rooms based on gender and College, most rooms will be doubles. I don’t want to be roomed with some nerdy Asian kid from Revelle College. Oh what to do?

haha really? thats lame

wait im asian from revelle…lol…good thing im not nerdy

so is triton eye real or a myth??

it’s real – but i believe the incoming freshmen/juniors will help debunk it.

Well I saw some fine looking girls there today, there’s a chance I already have the eye though.

I mean it wasn’t that bad really. Didn’t see anyone from this forum though. I assume you didn’t go cause you’re too far away?

theres hope then…haha

was taht what you were looking for the whole time??lol

yeah im from norcal…lol…whens the next one?? like orientation or something like that

Well, I figured out that the TMT booth was only outside the Muir presentation. Nobody said hi, but I was sitting outside the Muir info session/panel, and actually got pulled onto the first panel. (:

Meh I just took the tour and went to two info sessions and went home. The tour was pretty cool though, UCSD’s campus is pretty cool, random artwork everywhere.

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting anyone who wasn’t in Muir to come all the way over just to say hi. (:

where the rest of the people taht went, i guess theyre still driving back…haha

so housing, did you guys see torrey pines?? lame or what??

its still under construction, but it seems like it’ll be finished come september. they also are looking to expand for another 500 rooms!

But that’ll be finished Fall 2010. Loller were you at the info session? >_>

They’re not going to be doing any tours until it opens, so no one will know what it looks like really. The village housing site has floor plans up now though.

Hey all. Try giving these a look:

[Canyon Park](http://www.canyonpark.com/)

And here’s where I live (Click on La Jolla Canyon):
[Garden Communities of California - Apartment Living at its Very Finest!](http://www.gardencommunitiesca.com/welcome.htm)

Both have 1 bedrooms for about $1100, which is pretty decent for this area. Both are a 5-8 minute walk from the East/Regents shuttle, which runs every 3-6 minutes during many parts of the day. I happen to like the two story external entry style over the newer monolithic internal entry ones.

If you do end up in my complex, there’s a referral credit in it for me if you tell them Joseph Schilz sent you. (:

I went and some of the stuff were pretty informative, like the computer science part
There was a thread in facebook group about a meet up for today…

yay I’m home! so tired lol

Damn you actually drove all the way down here? Woah.

daym you shouldve taken me…lol

You guys should all go live in canyon park =o… it sounds MUCH better than the village. I heard they even have underpants gnomes that will do your laundry for you! You guys should really check it out!

No no we flew :)

Alex you’re such a dork! lol

Anyone know of any good low priced condos for sale for under $350,000 list price within a 2 mile vicinity of UCSD?
