I am an Aerospace Engineering major, and i am going to transfer to one of these 2 schools in the fall. I can't decide which one to accept... I need help, does anybody have any input??? (besides UC > CSU)

They’re both great schools. Just depends on what kind of learning you prefer. SLO has a tough time changing majors, but they get more hands on experience so employers prefer SLO grads. UCSD is more broad in your education i guess

You can’t go wrong with either school. If you want to go to grad school attend UCSD because there is more opportunity to do research. If you don’t, then maybe SLO is better because of the hands on experience and the strong alumni network.

Just want to point out that both have different environments… SLO is a cute college town kinda far from the beach, very central california-esque, sort of in the middle of nowhere but still legit. San Diego is a major metropolitan city with the beach nearby, no college town feel though. Have you visited? They’re both sooo different IMO and you should choose which one you would feel more comfortable at.

I have visited both. I was much more impressed with Cal Poly’s Aerospace engineering department. UCSD’s “Mechanical and Aero engineering department” seemed to be void of the Aero branch. Though UCSD has A LOT of other appeal

I am currently staring at the Pros/Cons list that i made for both schools. I am SO torn!
