UCSD or UC Irvine?

Hello all, I recently going into UCSD for NanoEgineering and UCI for Chemical Engineering? Anyone have any insight on how the professors are, research & internship opportunities are? Torn between the two :\

UCSD has an awesome nanoengineering program and is ranked higher for its materials engineering graduate program (25th) than UCI is for its chemical engineering graduate program (59th). UCSD also has generally more research funding which translates into more research opportunities, as well as (probably) more sought-after faculty. The area around campus is a hub for bioengineering, which could give you internship opportunities. Also, UCSD’s nano department is housed in the beautiful new SME building, which allows for interesting collaborations with the visual arts and medical departments. I’d visit both schools if you can before making a choice.
