UCSD or UCI for Game Development?

I’m mainly looking for a career in game development with my B.S. in Computer Science.

UCI actually has a [undergraduate degree in computer game science @ the bren school of information and computer sciences](http://www.ics.uci.edu/ugrad/degrees/degree_cgs.php) and has a [Center for Computer Games & Virtual Worlds](http://cgvw.ics.uci.edu/).

UCSD…I’m not really sure if they have anything towards game development. Anybody hear or know anything?

[UCI students build games in a week - OC Unwired - The Orange County Register](http://ocunwired.ocregister.com/2011/04/13/uci-students-build-games-in-a-week/7131/)

UCSD is more Computer Science rather than game development, but in general UCSD’s academics are considered ‘above’ that of UCI, I know that seniors do make their own game in the course

Yeah, there are some game making courses (which I want to take xD) at UCSD.

But, I think it would be better to go to UCI. I don’t know much about CS or game development, but since UCI actually has a specialized major/program for it, I think it would be the better choice.

fixed that for you.
