I can't decide on UC San Diego or Irvine. As for now I'm planning on majoring in political science or international relations and minoring in biology. I know UCSD's biology is better but it's also impacted & highly competitive, so would it be difficult to minor in it? Also, who's political science programs are better?

Go where you think you’ll be happiest. You may change your major, after all. So make your decision on broader criteria.

I would go to UCSD! Irvine is not in the same class for Poli Sci. SD is top ten in the nation!

I agree with Grumpster.

Go to where you’ll be happiest. It is very possible you’ll change your major, so keep your options open.

While sd has a more highly ranked poli sci department, Irvine has other programs which are much better than at SD. Just choose based on which school fits you best.
