I was recently admitted to both UCLA and UCSD. I live about twenty minutes from UCLA, so I know the area very well; however I absolutely love the city of San Diego! Also, if I were to go to UCSD, I would be in a new environment. I love that idea! I have visited both campuses and they're both beautiful! I am kind of leaning towards San Diego because its farther from home. BUT UCLA has so much prestige! I need help deciding between these two schools.
I am majoring in Political Science.
Can I have some pro's and con's to these schools?
Also, how much school spirit does UCSD have when it comes to sports?

I don't know which school to choose?! Please help!

UCSD Is actually amillion times better when comparing sciences, UCSD is renoundly known for its science programs.
And san diego is an amazing city,
I just enrolled to UCSD :)

That’s great! what college were you admitted to?

Taking into consideration that you love each campus about equally, I would say UCSD. On the US News Rankings UCSD was ranked 7th overall for Political Science while UCLA ranked 11th.

Hey! So I go to UCSD and red flag on school sprit.

we’re division 2 and we don’t have a football team. very little school spirit when it comes to sports. You can DEF. find it during basketball season, but other than that… not really.

no greek row, if you’re into frat parties and that kind of social scene - steer clear.

I think being away from home is SO important. Im 500 miles for the bay and I love being so independent.

The poli-sci program is great, and it’s pretty easy too! (compared to my bio major) my room mate is poli-sci and she’s having a blast.

ucsd is really close to the beach! I love it the ocean and the weather!

la jolla is not san diego, if you’re a big city kind of person you won’t like UCSD UNLESS you bring a car down.

if you bring a car down though, parking SUCKS.

really chill down to earth people

not really a party school

the six college system is really nice because you get the feel of a small community despite being in such a huge university
