<p>i'm biochemistry major at Sixth. I know SD is more known for bio sciences, but UCLA gave me $2000 more finaid. I can still pay that extra 2 grand if I go to UCSD, but of course it's nice to save it up. Should I go to UCSD?</p>

<p>UCSD sciences are better. it's very strong in sciences. but i don't know. it's prestige vs. program strength.</p>
<p>i have the same problem as you, but i decided to go to ucla. i heard from some people than ucsd is kinda a dull campus... dont know if its true though...</p>
<p>Check out the actual costs of tuition and housing at UCLA versus UCSD before considering the extra $2000 in aid.</p>
<p>People in industry, the people who would be hiring you, know which colleges have the best programs and will usually recruit more there so consider that when you decide where you want to go. Also check out both campuses and consider where you'd want to live for the next 4-5 years.</p>
<p>if la gave u 2k more in aid, go to la. i was gonna go to uci but sd gave me more aid than irvine so i came to sd.</p>
<p>I'd go to UCLA any day of UCSD. Both are good in Sciences... and you can't go wrong with either of them.</p>
