<p>I think they considered your application and you have 50/50 chances. At first, they offerred admisson to some qualify/overall students , plus rejecting ones who couldn't reach their tough requirement. Then, they estimate how many space was left by some methods (early SIR summitted, last year stat, check other UCs SIR summitted for cross-admit student...)-->delay the decision --> you have 50/50</p>
