Hey guys, I’m mostly likeley going to UCSD as a Politcal Science (IR) major, and wanted to know if anyone one knew what it was like. ex; work load, good or bad experiences, the classes, etc. Thanks!!

my ex bf is at ucsd as a poli sci...he's smart, but no genius. If he wanted, he could graduate a year early, so I'm thinking the courses aren't too rigorous

tncpauld: I thought you go to UCSB? (from your post in the Ucsb!? thread), are you transferring to UCSD and why?

Because San Diego has a great political science department, and 2 years here was all I could ever ask for. After going to SB I dont need the social aspect of college so much, and I just want to go somewhere where I can crack down and focus on my studies. Plus the internship oppurtinties around here arent that great either.

by the way, you think 3.5 is good enough to for inter UC transfer?

tncpauld: 3.5 sounds good to me but I know the UC's put first priority on community college transfers, and then lastly on transfers from other 4-year universities.

Haha is UCSB that distracting? Well, say you had to do polisci IR at UCSB, I don't think you're gonna NOT be able to find a job. What do you plan to do, law school after undergrad? Or straight to work?

here's a helpful resource with acceptances rates of transfers for UC's:
