I am afraid that it will be more difficult to find housing in August, better to get in now. I did Europe last summer to free up with summer for moving. Need to get out of the house already. Too bad there is no way to guarantee these deals for fall lol, then I could find a cheaper place to spend summer in.

We can check these places out on admit day and see what availability is like.

I just booked my flight and rental car for the 9th.

Damn, I would have taken you up on that, but I already booked everything. It was only like 150 bucks for round trip and a car. I fly in at 9 45 am and leave at 730 pm. I couldnt find an earlier flight, but I don’t mind missing the intro and breakfast or whatever it is.

yeah, if i didn’t already have plans for this summer i’d definatly consider it…we should all meet up on the 9th and see if we can all work something out…

Oh! Well, I’m not going to UCSD but my friends live here. They go to UCSD. There’s a shuttle stop right in front of the apartment. They live in a 2bd/2ba apartment. Before you come in they have the walls all painted into pretty colors (it’s not plain, boring white) and even give you complementary gifts for your bathroom - or, at least, that’s what they told me. They love it there. I’ve been and the rooms are pretty big - the bathrooms are huge.

“transfer housing is expensive and you have to have a meal plan. I would rather live in a luxury high rise and buy my food wherever I want.”

The Village allows you to use your meal plan money to buy groceries instead.

I’m leaning towards The Village Transfer housing because its a once in a lifetime experience living on campus and it will be a lot easier meeting new friends!

the village seems nice, they sent me a pamphlet in the mail 2 days ago, but its just too darn expensive. $1300 for a single person is not worth living there.
