My dad said I can find a place for summer, and then a new one for Fall if I want, so maybe we should take this seriously and actually look into acquiring a place to live.

boryaF if u guys need another roommate id probably consider it. The transfer housing is kinda expensive… and those apartments look pretty chill. Id be looking for the fall. I love to cook and im clean lol

I am going to try and live at “The Village”. I talked to a transfer representative the other day and he said that it is not going to be completed 100% of the way come Fall 09, and that it would only house around 600 people until the project was fully completed.

UCSD seems to expect there is going to be a lottery. Everyone I have talked to have said that its “Too expensive” so I am not sure if they are actually going to need a lotery.

Anyone else got any more information?

Oh and I would totally be up for a College Confidential on Transfer Day.

Maybe I will create a Facebook group for us.

I created a Facebook group for people who are going to UCSD in fall 09…

Join here :

well i dunno how long you guys are staying in sd for the admit day weekend, but i’m flying down friday and leaving sunday, so by then if we all decided thats what we want, we can all decided something there, and visit some places and what not…
that way before we make any final decisions we’ll have all met and what not you know…

I didn’t want to stay too long so I am flying in at 930, renting a car to drive around quickly and see all the spots, then fly back home at 730.

I would defiantly be up for a meet on Transfer Admit day. I live in SD…so I can show some of you guys around that are not from the area.

a word about the village (transfer dorms) an email from them:
Hello,
There are over 20 different floor plans with several iterations of single and double room types. You can expect to reside with as little as 5 people to up to 10 people per apartment. Please check our website frequently as floor plans and their respective rates will be posted soon. Please note, there is a dining plan component o living at The Village so please budget accordingly. There are no tours as this is an ongoing construction site and your safety is important to us. Lastly, do Not bring a car. There are no parking spaces at The Village.

Please note: there will be on-going construction on Phase 1 come opening day and for a limited duration thereafter and Phase 2 construction will already be underway directly across the street. Dust and noise is expected.

Thank you!

Whenever I log into Triton it logs me into faulty and staff…

yeah my name is Neil and i just joined the group. Im going down to admit day and would like to meet up with some of you and find a place to stay.

Hey guys. If anyone is looking for a place for summer session I, I’d be happy to take a roomie into my 1bd. Might consider also opening it for session 2. My GF is out of the country, and I could use the money. Check it out if you’re around for transfer admit day. 8 minutes walk from the shuttle stop, and I’m asking less than half of what I pay. Give me a PM if you’re interested, and check out my post history if you want to know more about me.

Cheers.

Edit: And congrats on UCSD, all.
