I know that college changes within UCSD are difficult to come by but can anyone verify this? The UC system always tells us one thing but at the same time, there's always a way to come around it. I want to transfer to Marshall or Warren college from ERC.

U might wanna consider these things when trasfering:

Every college has different GE classes, some accept IGETC, some don't. Some have strange requirements, some don't.

Every college has different upper devision requirements, for some it's 15 classes some 18. Some want u take some uppers from different departments.

It's really a mess.

I know... =[
That's why I want to transfer. I'm almost done with GE but if I go to ERC, I have a lot more. SIGH

doesn't it say in the faq link from the admit page that you need to have someone who wants to swap?

Q: I would like to switch to another UCSD undergraduate
college. Can I request a change from the one I was admitted
to?
Each college has space for a certain number of transfer students to meet
its enrollment goals. The only way for you to switch to another college is
if a transfer student from that college wants to change to the one you
were admitted to. Thus, there are very few college changes granted each
year. We highly encourage you to remain in your current college
because experience has shown that you will find it a very rewarding
experience.
And a reminder: your choice of college does not affect your choice of
major. Each college has students from every UCSD major.
If you indeed wish to change colleges, please get an Intercollege
Transfer Request form at the Academic Advising Office of the college to
which you were admitted. Your college will then follow up with you as to
the results of your request.

Sigh... I know... I was just hoping that someone may be able to give me some heads up... or some way to get around it.
