<p>Congratulation to all UCSD admitted students.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, today I received a rejection from UCSD. I am however qualified as an ELC student (top 9%) at my HS. At the moment, I am not sure that UCLA will accept me. </p>
<p>I would like to know if I should forward my application to UC Merced for admission consideration for the fall 2013 or the UC office will forward my application automatically on my behalf. I did not formally apply to UC Merced previously.</p>

<p>I don’t know if you can submit an app to uc merced now for fall 2013 but try contacting someone from the school?</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure you had to apply to UC Merced.</p>
<p>applyinguc already saw my post in his/her other thread, but for others’ reference:</p>
<p>On the UC website, it says: “ELC students not admitted to any of their campus choices are offered a spot at a UC campus that has space, if minimum UC requirements are met.”
So they will automatically send your app to Merced and any other UC with openings, and ELC people are guaranteed a spot in at least one UC.</p>
