UCSD is my top choice, but it's frustrating that I can't afford it. I might have to turn it down for UCSB where I got a merit scholarship.

i got UCSB regents too, but my GRANT from SD is larger than the regents award -__-

SVmom:

The instate COA is ~$25k. Your efc is $3500, leaving a need of $21.5k. The UCs require everyone to pony up ~$9k self-help (loans + work study + summer earnings), leaving ~$12k for grant aid.

Of course, that only cover instate....as I posted earlier, the UCs do not waive or provide grant aid to for the OOS portion (unless you win a Regents -- UCs can replace loans with grants for Regent's scholars).

anotherasian1234: With Regents at UCSB, though, you'll probably get additional money in other grants/scholarships. So at UCSB, you'll probably end up with more free money.

I got me $15,000 in financial help. I guess that's aight. But I would have wished for a little mo'. Now I gots to tell my parents how much they gon have to pay. Ehehe.

Thank you CC for letting us know the decisions are out!! Here is what I got, and I applied for housing too....

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, San Diego – congratulations on your admission to Revelle College as a major in Human Biology!

i got regents, so ucsd covers the cost after my parents' efc: $25,000 - $17,000 = ~$8,000 a year for me.

Got into Econ at Marshall. =] Muir was #1 on my list though. Marshall was #3. Oh well. :]
