I'm at a CCC planning to transfer by fall 2010 or winter 2011 the latest. One of the requirements on assist.org for my major (Human Dev) is an "Intro to Bio" course. Since I'm applying to a bunch of UC's a chose "Intro to College Bio," which is a little tougher (at my CCC, at least.) I took it back when I was a idiot and got an F, but since then I've retaken it and gotten a B. When I went to talk to my counselor about TAG agreements she said UCSD want's "Intro to the Science of Bio," and that I should take that class as well. Do I really have to take the class if it's basically the same thing?

It says on assist.org:
"Courses that have not been articulated must be approved via
petition on an individual basis by the Human Development Program. Those
transferable courses that are very similar to UCSD's will be accepted, as well
as most other courses at an equivalent academic level ONLY for the Human
Development major."

Should I contact the department?
