Ucsd - Revelle - Mistake???

I randomly picked the UCSD sub-colleges while filling out the application because I did not think I would go to UCSD. But I got into Revelle and now its possible i might go there (after getting owned by LA). Anyways, I heard Revelle is the hardest with the most GE's and stuff like that. Anyone at Revelle or know anybody over there? I'm scared I heard people are always studying =X I've only heard bad about Revelle. Is it that much harder than other SD schools????!?!??! Please tell me something abotu teh college. I'm an Economics major.

ask this here: ucsd.livejournal.com

wait what? you ended up getting into the hardest school of ucsd? but you didnt even think you would get in at all??? wow lucky you. i was counting on ucsd and didnt even make it. sorry i had to share my complaining

I got into John Muir. They dont put people in colleges based on merit, its just what order of preference. Does anyone know what college has the best dorms.

I heard that the dorms are all nice regardless of the college

I think Revelle has one of the worst dorms. It's in one of the older part of the campus. The buildings are ugly.

I take it back, Roosevelt (from what the school journal forum says) has the best dorms, the best access to facilities and etc..

Heard anything about Muir

i hear they have the best food.

Roosevelt does have the newest dorms, but the walls are kind of thin and many rooms have plumbing problems. Muir is towards the center of campus and has the least distribution requirements.

i will be suffering hte wrath of revelle as well, and i put it last!

OP: You're pretty much right. Revelle has the most GE requirements and it's very difficult. Most people there study a lot and it's not very social. It's probably the toughest college in UCSD. Good luck.

UCSD in general is ugly. The campus is really close to my house, and I didn't even realize that it was a college it was so ugly. Just a bunch of math and science nerds who never party (seriously. never.) who study all day in big ugly concrete buildings. Their closest frat is about a half an hour away. And it is LITTLE.
But I love San Diego, and the shopping and beach are awesome (I'm a little biased). The weather's nice in certain months. If I do say so myself.

So what's the easiest subcollege then?

Muir is easiest, and ERC is hardest in terms of the most GE's.

Eeek. I got into ERC and I've been hearing some foreboding info on ths MMW unit that's required for their GE....is it really that bad?
