UCSD Scholars' Day invitation arrived.

I haven't gotten any e-mails (except for annoying mailing list ones), just the snail mail bubble-wrap package thing.

I really wish I could have gotten the UCSD Med thing.. I have a 2240 and 2250 was my goal ):

theantithesisof - Ha, I wish I could trade you my Medical School invitation for your Scholars' Day invitation (I have no intention of going into the medical field) :)

I just checked the mail to make sure in case my father forgot today and there was nothing in there. Man, I really hope it comes tomorrow or something. Everyone that got it, can you please post your stats?

why dont you just try to RSVP by using your ucsd id
http://admissions.ucsd.edu/reservations/scholars.aspx

madamebovary - Well, I don't know if I can attend it or not, and I don't know if only one or both of my parents want to come, etc.

yah same here. i just hope that i can also get regents for SD.

What are your stats? [Could everyone else that got this invitation please post their stats as well?)

HAHA. i tried putting in my application id.
it said.. it wasn't found in this event. go figure.

oh.. and for those that wondered, this is what it said about scholar's day

Alumni host tables of top scholars and their parents at the annual Scholars' Day luncheon. These students represent the top 5% of admitted students to UCSD for each of the six colleges

^ So if I'm reading that correctly... the people invited to Scholar's Day are the top 5% that were admitted to Muir, the top 5% admitted to Revelle, and so on? (Not just the top 5% overall?)

Is this only for Jacob Engineering Applicants or for everyone?

lol when i was getting my acceptance letters ive never heard of all of these early invitation and scholar things... haha... how strange...

Azure, I'll definitely trade you, hahah

I didn't apply to Jacobs.. and I got an e-mail from the Dean of Arts and Humanities today? (I applied for Bio first choice, but I might have put something artsy for second..)

Stats:
2240 (CR 740, M 780, W 720)
3.9 UW, 4.3ish? W
31/570 at a public California school
Regents at UCR

theantithesisof, i applied to bio yet the Dean of Arts sent a letter to me
how awkward huh

Both of my choices were in engineering and I still got the email from the Dean of A&H.

Last year at Scholars Day they announced that they were all accepted, I am sure the same thing will happen this year.

ahhh y????? why???????????

(I did not get one :()

^ Chill out, it might be on the way still. I have yet to receive the general invitation, though I got the engineering one yesterday.

Bah, I checked the mail today and nothing. So I tried to RSVP online and it said "Application ID not found for this event."

:(

We got one but will be difficult to attend as we're out of state. Anyone tried to find out which college they'd been assigned?

Does any of the other UC's have a Scholors Day?

hmm, if you RSVP do you find out your college?

and.. if you don't go after you RSVP do they revoke your admission or something? hahah
