ucsd tag 90 unit limit question

so i wanna sign up for tag next year and if i add up all the classes im going to take it's going to be 88 units.. because i took a lot of science classes but recently decided i want to do poli sci instead.. would withdrawals count toward this 90 unit limit?.. cause with withdrawals it will be over 90..

I don’t think it matters as once you hit the cap the courses count as passed for pre req purposes and etc but you dont get credits for them. Max you can transfer in with is 90 quarter units.

Withdrawals do not count in your units. If you only have cc units, then you are eligible. I was accepted to SD with TAG with 106 units

okay i have this cleared up its only a limit if you went to another university and then community college. read the website wrong. Seriously though…Thanks for the help guys!

Just be extremely careful with the limits UCSD imposes. I have a 4.0 and was rejected because of “an excess of units”, as they told me on the phone… I went to college overseas for 2 years, then ccc for 3 semesters, which gave me a total of 135 units, as calculated by UCSD. The person on the phone said they dismissed my application right away because of the units, and didn’t even look at the rest, what classes I took, extracurriculars/work, etc. UCI admitted me as a senior transfer though, so whatever. UCSD is picky and can be unfair with this matter… just be careful.
