Ucsd tag help

hey, i was wondering how the TAG worked. i just applied for Fall 2010 but it says that there is no guarantee for your major. But it also says that you must only choose a alternate major if your major is impacted. I am applying as Human biology, i understand that it is going to be impacted starting Fall 2011 so i was wondering if i am guaranteed into my major with the TAG or not. The only impacted majors it states are all of the Engineering majors.

On the application, indicate an alternate choice if you are applying for an impacted major. Note that TAG does not guarantee admission to any particular major.

you’ll be fine; it won’t be impacted til 2011; as you can see here it states there are no restrictions for biology major.

“2010-2011
UCSD Admission to a Biology major
freshmen: Admitted to biology via UC application.
transfer: No restriction on admit to biology major from any two or four-year college or university via UC application.
UCSD Admission to a non-biology major/undeclared
Students may apply to a biology major via the exceptional admission process if undeclared or non-biology major. Note: transfer students are not encouraged to follow this route as one of the requirements for exceptional admission is completion of at least one year/three quarters in residence at UCSD. Transfer students wishing to apply for exceptional admission will likely delay the date to graduation.”

as for this…you can only be admitted if you are ‘selected’

2011-2012
