Hello,
I am doing the TAG program into UCSD for FALL 2010. I have a couple of questions regarding the application and if anyone can help me, that would be amazing!!!!

On the application, do we need to input the classes that don't transfer? For example, I know that intermediate algebra & geometry don't transfer, so would I still have to input it? I am asking this because I failed this class my first year of college and I don't want to input it if I don't have to.

On the IGETC form, we are required to complete a language other than English. I took 3 years of American Sign Language in high school...so does this count?

I have below a 3.0 currently but after this semester I will have 3.03. I am still eligible for TAG as long as I maintain the 3.0 until the end of Spring right?

Any help insight would be GREATLY appreciated!

1)I think you dont need to put classes that aren’t transferable
2) yes language in highschool counts.
3) I am in your same situation with UCSD i have a 2.7 right now, but someone else told me that just pull that 3.0gpa by end of fall semester because ucsd is paperless and what not.

You MUST have and maintain a 3.0 GPA at the end of Fall semester. Also, YOU MUST INPUT EVERY COURSE FROM EVERY INSTITUTE YOU HAVE EVER ATTENDED INCLUDING F’s, D’s, FW’s, W’s, AND ANY OTHER FORM OF GRADE YOU CAN THINK OF.

Yes, because UCSD’s TAG doesn’t include paperwork you are able to have below a 3.0 when you apply, but like I said before, you MUST have and maintain a 3.0 GPA at the end of Fall semester.

it means that you don’t have to fill anything out for it like for UCI, where you have to fill out an online application with an advisor. the only thing you need to do for it is one is on the actual UC application,

check off IGETC certified

check off UCSD TAG

and have a 3.0.

you’ve probably read this before, but reread this if you’re confused:

hey for UCI, meeting with a counselor/advisor isn’t necessary right? we just needed to submit that checklist that was due oct. 15?

“Complete and submit the TAG Checklist online during the TAG Checklist submission period, September 1 through October 15, 2009 for fall 2010 admission; including an advising session with your transfer center director if required.”
