Ucsd tag?

<p>By researching for information on the internet, I found that to sign the UCSD TAG, all I needed to do is check the box during application.
But while I was filling out the UC transfer form, I couldn't find that check box anywhere
can anyone tell me the details about the UCSD TAG?</p>

but now I have a question
according to the UCSD TAG website, i also had to check to IGETC box
but according to the assist.org argreement with UCSD
engineering major does not require to take the IGETC to fulfil the requirement
so should I check the IGETC box?</p>

<p>just check it off if you completed it. It wouldn’t hurt you haha it just shows what you completed.</p>

<p>I just want to be clear it is needed to complete the IGETC to sign to TAG as an enginnering major? because my counselor told me that IGETC is not requireed for engineering major</p>

its not required… doesn’t mean u can’t check it off. If you do check it off it doesn’t do any harm towards you. If you don’t want to check it off. Then don’t.</p>

<p>haha actually, you cant check the igetc box. It means you completed the 8 or so courses on the IGETC list. You’ll need to get your IGETC certification and send it to your college after you get admitted. since you didnt complete IGETC, your college wont give you the certification. thus, you cant check the TAG box either.</p>
