UCSD Tranfer Admit Day Mystery

<p>There are many people who can sign up for the Transfer Admit day who are still pending. There are also many people who cannot sign up even though they have a TAG and/or high stats. Lets try to figure this out on a new thread.</p>

GPA?
TAG?
Major Pre-reqs?
IGETC?
Does your appllication have anything, that you know of, that may lower your chances of transfering?
Where have you been accepted?</p>

The only thing that hurts my application was that I finished my math req during the winter.

<p>If you have over a 3.0 and IGETC why wouldn’t you just sign up for TAG?</p>

<p>@joeyd72: Grimes and I both were unable to complete 1 requirement on time in order to sign the TAG. Otherwise we would have been fine. </p>

<p>Btw, I live in San Joaquin Valley, does this rule me out? I hope not :(</p>

<p>@joey: Yeah… worst situation ever. I’ve told it a few times on here but basically my original counselor put me on a “road map” to get into UCSD. This plan required that I take my college math class this semester. Problem is, if you’re on TAG all math/English courses must be completed by the Fall prior to your enrollment at UCSD. So yeah, I missed TAG because I had to take a math class one semester later than allowed, and I didn’t find this out until I applied.</p>

<p>“Both of the UC English courses and the UC math course must be completed by the end of Fall 2010, prior to Fall 2011 admission.”</p>

<p>That’s for the 2011 agreement, but it’s the same for 2010.</p>

<p>damn that sucks and whats worse is tag is only fall now too. thats why i never rely on counselors, i only use them for advice. hopefully youll be in this semester though</p>

<p>@joey: Yeah it was pretty much the worst possible news. Not only was I screwed for fall, this just had to be the year where UCSD stopped doing winter admits. </p>

<p>I doubt I’m in… and I haven’t even heard back from UCI yet :(</p>
