Sunnyseas: How do you always find me? Whenever I try finding you, its impossible. But yeah, I sent my SIR to “You Stay Classy, UC San Diego” (saw this posted on one of the dorms in the village). Have you decided between SD and LA yet?

@Imdendoza I saw that same poster on one of the dorms, right before I toured one of the lower floor housing units at the village.

Overall admit day was very informative for me. I love the housing! I want to live on the top floor of the Village haha. Free stuff was okay and the Marshall presentations were informative.

anyone in the yellow group early in the morning?

@lmendoza.012 Cuz you post in the same threads I do! Hahaha
Heavily leaning towards SD. Sucks that LA doesn’t seem to have any admit days, boooooo.

i realize there are mixed reviews about this place, but from what my friends have heard from people who live there now, as well as my cousin who used to live there, it’s fine.

i would advice living in the village. i checked it out on saturday and it is f****** nice.

If by fine you mean cockroaches and mushrooms growing inside your apartment, horrible management, robbery… Then yes, be my guest. Of course, it depends on your particular apartment and what not, but CV is just a bad place to live in general (though I do give credit for the nice lobby and gym).

sunnyseas, im in the same situation! Im leaning LA though…

The tower halls felt really super dark and gloomy…and the elevators took FOREVER. If I could get a room in the smaller, outside units, I would maybe attend…still kind of on the fence. My biggest irk is the lack of real sports…

yea ucsd doesnt even have a foottball team -.- thats the sport that gives you that school pride.

If I could enjoy march, I wouldn’t have a reason not to go to ucsd…

I think UCSD’s football team is division III (could be wrong), but I swear I read somewhere that they were considering moving up into division I.( Then again I could be wrong about this too…) If UCSD built a stadium that would be awesome! They should do it and share it with the Chargers. Ok this is just wishful thinking haha

No way they are going D1 anytime soon. They are talking about making Cal Poly D1 and they are already D1A. There are minimum attendance requirements and other similar constraints that keep schools from being Division 1 in certain sports.

[UCSD looks at football and Division I upgrade - SignOnSanDiego.com](http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/apr/23/ucsd-looks-at-football-and-division-i-upgrade/)

Bingo!

Costa Verde isn’t that bad (I live there) but its not the best, I’ve never seen any cockroaches or mushrooms but I did have my car broken into (in the gated parking garage) and management does suck

That article told me that they want the prestige of a D1 school, but don’t want to eat the ticket…they’ll do it someday, but probably not soon.
