UCSD Transfer 2014 Waitlist?

@collegedropout1 I was really disappointed that I got waitlisted =( I am an international student from Hong Kong, don’t know if that affects anything??

Just got off the phone with them and they said well know towards the end of the month -_-

Holy ■■■■ that’s a long time

I thought decisions would come out exactly on the first.

Mmmm the longer this drags on harder it gets for us to withdraw from our backup schools since there r fees to pay for housing and deadlines to meet. PLZ HURRYYYYYYYY

@Cyclobutadiene Yes, that does have an effect. If you were a student in California, then you would have gotten in.

Does anyone know if they will send us an email when decisions are made?

@frankthetank1 Someone on this thread said late june.

Well, I guess we just wait.

Sigh this is lame I wish they would have just been upfront and said that we shouldn’t expect to hear anything until mid-late june :/

What a stressful weekend, for naught i suppose

Wonder how many people even opted in to the waitlist seems like that waitlist statement is doing its job of deterring people from opting in. Hopefully the number isn’t too high.

@Cdelta I agree, I think the waitlist is just SD’s way of seeing who really wants to go to UCSD. I mean they put 2700 people on the waitlist, that way too many!

What I’m about to say now is neither an encouragement nor a discouragement.
My friend got waitlisted from a CCC with a 3.3 last year, she wasn’t expecting to get in so this is all she put (literally) on her waitlist essay. “I like UC San Diego very much!” And guess what, she’s there right now. Oh the irony…

smh…i have a cal grant due june 20th. I hope to contact them near that date as i NEED to know my decision so i do not lose my cal grant. Cal grants are NOT easy to get…not many get them. So UCSD needs to hurry up for my sake.

Good luck to all! I really feel i and many others will make it in.

@kyle2015 what do you mean due june 20th? what form are you talking about? I’m pretty sure all you have to do is change which school your aid goes to on the csac website?

can you be more speciifc please about what you mean?

I’m interested because i am a cal grant receiver

Hey guys. Do any of you if we need to send in our spring transcripts?

For people who are saying that we’ll be notified late June, what’s your source?

@bhav007 There’s someone who called SD’s admission office.

I can’t handle this pressure… again. I hate all this uncertainty! I hope they are swift with their decisions.

I was the one who called. I asked if she had a time table on when trasnfer waitlist decisions would be sent out. She replied that the admissions people are working on them so they’ll be out later this month
