UCSD Transfer Admit Day

Hey guys,

Do you think it is worth buying a ticket from northern California to attend UCSD Transfer Admit Day? All that have attended UCSD Transfer Day previously, what do you think of it? What kind of valuable information we can find there, while the students cannot find any other time?

I am most likely attending UCSD next Fall, so I am interested in all the info, but I am not sure to what extent the information and experience during the Transfer Day is going to be unique.

Thank you!

Hi, I am also considering going to UCSD and I don’t think I’m going to attend Transfer Admit Day. I live in Los Angeles and I feel like even the drive there will be a waste of time… It is really up to you, but I looked up old UCSD Transfer Admit Day threads on college confidential and most of them seem to be like ehhhh-- a lot of them said that the information can be read online. I’m sure you’re able to get a good tour during your mandatory orientation… just what I think!

Yeah, I see…I just wanted to clarify everything with the academic plan for the major and my minors…

Ha I live in SD and only earlier this week decided to go the Transfer Admit Day, if you already know you want to attend then there probably isn’t much reason for you to make the trip. I’m just going because I’m not sure if I want to accept or go to school back east.

I accidentally went to Freshman Admit day (wanted to go to the bookstore and ended up in the middle of it haha) and I must say it was quite festive. Lots of booths, discounts in the bookstore, music, etc. I live in San Diego so it isn’t a trek for me to go tomorrow, but you should still consider it. It is exciting to see where you are going to be and get in the Triton spirit!
