Hello guys, I have a pretty big problem. I was accepted into UCSD as a Human Bio major and signed the SIR. I now have a huge problem regarding my GPA/Grades. I am most likely going to receive a D… maybe even an F for my General Chemistry. I read the course guidelines and it said, “Pass subject requirements with grades of “C” or better” how screwed am I when it comes to my admission being rescinded? I believe I have a decent reason for the D, but I would like your guys’ opinion on how screwed I am? I definitely plan on calling them tomorrow as well. Thank you.
thats general chemistry 2 I mean.
Unless you had a death in your family, which you should’ve just taken the Incomplete then I do not think you have a decent reason(At least according to school’s policy). So, I think you will be rescinded. You basically had promised the University you would complete your requirements before enrolling.
I always tell future transfers, finish everything before you apply. Some do not want to wait the year or are sure they will complete everything before enrolling. Yet these type of stories continue to occur year after year. You’re probably going to have to reapply in the fall and hopefully you’ll be done by then. But who knows if you get in or not.
But regardless, I hope you do have a good reason and UCSD tells you to re-take the class in the Summer.
