UCSD Transfer Housing Question

Does anyone know if the Transfer Housing offered is good? If so, how much will it usually cost? I was also wondering if I should start looking for apartments or a place to live starting now for this fall.

look it up on the website for a virtual tour. i did a real tour this summer and it was pretty sweet. the apt.s are pretty spacious and well done… everything is new. i will be living in them.

[UC San Diego Housing - The Village at Torrey Pines, West](http://hdh.ucsd.edu/thevillage/)

From my experience, a website for something like this is bound to be misleading by its “flashy advertising” approach. Why? Seeing that eye-catchy presentation psychologically raises your expectations, and once you actually start living there, you may soon be disappointed.

One thing I’m stunned at is the exorbitant housing rates: $1,270 - $1,400 per month?! That’s simply ludicrous, and a single room of course would be much higher.

no, the single rooms are about 1400 / month. the doubles are around 1270-1350, and the triples are 1270.

this includes a full dining plan tho, plus your fin aid will pay for it. thats the only reason its worth it.

plus you dont have to commute and such if you are on campus.
