How expensive is the transfer housing? and is it good at all? Also, where is it located? I'm going to be a student at ERC.

Double room rates for the 2009/2010 academic year (including a Dining plan) range from $1270-$1395 per person per month.

UCSD’s transfer housing is called the Village. It’s really convenient to live on campus because when you need something or feel really tired, you can walk back ! It’s located in ERC and there’s a market and its really close to RiMAC Gym.

Honestly I’m considering finding a place off-campus. I know it will be cheaper so I’m really counting on meeting some others at transfer admit day who I click with who would be down for the same. Hopefully the people I meet at admit day I can keep and touch with and get to know better because I know the big negative here is you don’t want to move in with someone you don’t know all that well, but thats what all those months leading up to school are for.

That’s true! Let me know if you’re interested in getting to know me. I’d love to meet a lot of transfers that are going this fall!

Ya def, I’ll try to put a thread together about having a meeting up for us site members a few days before transfer admit day. It will be a nice way to put faces to names and a nice way to meeting some new friends. Aight mates?

i will be looking ito of campus housing if i can meet some ok people and fidn a good place for a reasonable price, but i think im just going to give into the village. so much easier.

I’m gonna live in the village. It looks pretty sweet.

Aside from the cost, I’ve heard only good things about living there.
