UCSD Transfers, Gather Here

I’m sending my HS transcript since igetc requires foreign language from HS

The lady at ucsd advising center said we do need to send in the high school transcripts…why? I have no clue.

If you’ve completed IGETC, that means you’ve also completed your foreign language requirements…if you finished your foreign language requirements in high school, they need to see proof of that

In that case, why? Your CCC certifies your IGETC.

is there a deadline for revoking your admission?
say if a non-uc accepts you after you SIR to UCSD

i would just like to say thanks for replying to my message it was very helpful and i really did like what you said about surrounding yourself with motivated people because at CC nobody takes it seriously and i think it has affected my grades so hopefully if i get into UCSD my motivation to do better will increase.Plus i am paying more.

I just want to say I’m really excited to hopefully meet lots of you especially those who want to live on campus :)

Hi all. I plan on applying for winter quarter too but I’ll need almost straight-A’s in order to fulfill the IGETC requirement to transfer. And since the application deadline is in July, I must complete my last class (ENG205) in this summer semester. However it is impossible for me to get anything better than a C in this class with this professor. I’ve read many scary comments on ratemyprofessor.com and I’ve seen how this prof. runs his class. If I stay in this class I’m pretty sure it’s gonna drag down my GPA significantly.
I really need some advices regarding the issue…is there anyway I can take the class another time and still be able to transfer in Winter quarter?
It’s very frustrating to be in this class and I feel more and more nervous when I see how many people have dropped…

(I’ve posted a similar thread out there so please ignore me if you’ve seen that one already :P)

Ratemyprofessor is not “that” accurate…most of the people who post on there are the ones who fail the class or didn’t expect it to be as easy as others have commented…
My brother got a prof that had <2 rating for easiness and he still got an A in the class, it all depends on whether you’re willing to work or not…go get help from tutor at your cc if you’re really struggling with the class :/
