Housing message neer changes :frowning:
Guess that it’s because I’ve completed one year Organic Chem instead of Linear Algebra… That’s the only class I missed on the list on assist.org sighhhhh

Bumping For more data

so the message change is indicating acceptance or what? couldnt the message change be random as well? I mean we have 3.8x and 4.0 s with the old message for housing. if you guys could remember the message for the applications pending differed for some people meaning there were 2 different versions.

Did anyone call the admissions office about the Housing Application Status change or no change?

In my opinion, albeit speculation, is that first off we can’t assume that the high gpas do not have missing pre req’s done that may be throwing the whole thing off.

Next, I think it is fair to assume at this point that the housing message IS indicative of a highly probable acceptance, however, I believe it IS likely that the not having the housing message is not indicative of be rejected. It may mean you are at a higher risk of being rejected but certainly I have a hard time believing at this point if you don’t have the housing message you will not be accepted. The more people that post their stats on here with accuracy the better idea we can get of the truth. In any case, there is only 3 more days left so let’s all try to survive… today has been the hardest day by far for me at least

@ yowhatup11

Agreed. I just hope I get in…The only reason why I didnt do TAG wasn’t because of the GPA but because of one course for English  So I seriously don’t think its fair with people who have lower GPA than I do who get in…

Housing Application for Fall 2011-2012

In my opinion the reason they are waiting for the last minute to release decisions is because by the end of this month they will know for certain how many freshman applicants have SIRed to attend this fall. In my estimation it is that this number will be of influence of how many transfers they will have space for. They did accept a notably small number of freshman this year, however, this could mean they are going to do the same thing for transfers. Honestly who knows? ■■■…

Yikes why are you hatin’. HAters gonna hate. Gators gonna gaint. That’s so weird I didn’t even see that post and I was writing my stats. Haaaaaa

I ainnnt haiitenn just stresenn

but seriously, if you have igetc done you’re good as in

whew! I hope so  good luck to yallllllllllllllll! I’m not really DONE with the IGETC I’m just gonna be done by this semester aka in 3 weeks? Is that considered compleleted…?

I think @yowhatup11’s explanation is pretty reasonable. The housing message has so far correlated perfectly with TAGs and Competitive non-TAGs. Those who seem stat-wise highly competitive may have unknown factors preventing them from being accepted or are still in the pool waiting for decisions.

So tl;dr, if you see a housing change it seems to be very likely that you’ll be accepted. If you don’t, it’s an unknown at this point in time. So changed status people be happy, no change should also not alter your emotional state without real data.

Same thing for me, my paperwork is all submitted for igetc & i’ll be “certified” at the end of this semester. The requirements for igetc on the ucsd website says full certification for igetc is due july 15th so i think we’re good. i completely agree with youwhatup…i think it’s safe to say that those who have the housing change are accepted, being that the majority of those with the housing change either have tag or really high stats (maybe those without tag who have the housing change are in a major that has more room or all pre-reqs done…WHO KNOWS). but there are still others with tag or high stats as well who do not have the housing change, so i don’t think it means rejection yet. when i called today i was told they are still determining the gpa cut-off for non-tag applicants. the cut-off last year was 3.23, they said it could go up or down. i just wonder if anyone will get a housing change between now & the final decision date, i doubt it

Someone with the housing app saying they cannot proceed due to admission status need to check if they can check the schedule of classes in order to see if this is a relevant indicator.

who can’t access the schedule of classes?
