<p>UCSC says they’ll begin March 17th with batches released according to your last name and my last name starts with M so it says I should get my decision at 3 am. I tagged so I already know im in lol</p>

<p>the more the merrier. trust me its very inspiring to others, as last years and previous years “Acceptance videos” to UC’s in particular are very teary. For instance:</p>

<p>It’s a shame the budget is what it is and the UC’s release decisions online. I’d prefer to get the decision in the mail, I think it’s more fun to get it that way and have something tangible to open without knowing your decision previously. I know they send admit packets, but even those are pretty lackluster compared to some of the private schools on the east coast. They send plastic tubes with t-shirts, or find some way to go overboard with their admit packets. Your lucky to get a pamphlet and a sticker with the UC’s lol.</p>

<p>All good, I usually prefer email or text for most things but I think this would be more fun through snail mail. You wait a few months already, what’s a few more days? I know it’s more efficient online I’m just being nostalgic.</p>

<p>Everytime I think about admissions decisions being released via snail mail I always think of Eric from Boy Meets World opening his rejection letter… I don’t know why.</p>
<p>They do send official mail. You just get an email to notify you sooner. </p>
<p>And getting some “schwag” from all the schools you get into sounds like a pretty cool idea lol.</p>
<p>Does UCSD email you if you’re accepted like UCR did?! My phone is gonna be glued to my thumbs I’m April.</p>
<p>Every UC will email you. But I notice they tend to lag; in other words, the email comes after you have been accepted on the student log-in portal account.</p>
<p>Haha awesome thread. These are the only two schools i applied for, and reading this thread just gets me more pumped up for the upcoming weeks. Good luck to everyone and hopefully we gets some answers soon.</p>
