SAT Scores:
1st: 1750 (560V, 560M, 630W)
2nd: 1820 (520V, 590M, 710W)
Will be retaking the SAT in October, ACTs in September, and SATIIs in November
*Should I repost after I receive these scores?

Volunteer Work:
- Tokai College (freshmen year)
*My school is near a hospital where I can volunteer throughout the school year - do you think this will substantially boost the look of my resume (I'll have to work 4hrs/week if so)?

ECs (by year of most dedication):
- Interact Club (9)
- Social Committee (11) *plans school dances, and other social events
- Japan Wizard Tournament Competitor (11) *three students represent our school in a statewide competition for a free trip to Japan
- Team America Rocketry Challenge (12) *limited to only 7 people - we represent our school in a national competition
- Cross Country Member (9, 10)
- Service Committee (9, 10) *leads schools' community services
- Math Club (11, 12) *president for both years [I'm not excellent at math, but I'm a great leader]
- Amnesty International Club (11, 12) *vice president for both years [demotes violence against women, promotes rights for freedoms, etc.]
- Class Social Committee (10, 11, 12)
- Tour Guide Club (9, 10, 11, 12) *guides families who are interested in applying to our school
*On the Common App, it lists yearbook and orchestra as an extra curricular activity; however, at much school, it's considered a class, and one receives a grade for it - can I still put it on as an EC?

Recommendations:
I plan to have about 3 from teachers who teach different subjects (English, Japanese, and Physics). I might consider my principal (good idea? bad idea?)

Essay:
I plan to focus on the communication problem at home. My parents are immigrants, but I'm not as fluent in my native land's language as I am in English. This causes a problem because my parents and I misunderstand each other and argue over things caused by cultural difference, and language barriers.
*I don't know if this is a bad choice or not considering that most schools I want to apply to are located in CA, which is loaded with Asians, so I might not stand out from everyone else.

This is my first time on this site, and I'd truly appreciate it if you could give me your thoughts. I think it's polite to chance back, so I will do so! Any comments, suggestions, feedbacks will do. Constructive criticism is also welcomed and appreciated.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION :)
