<p>I will be applying next fall for Environmental Systems at UCSD. But I haven't heard of anybody else applying for this major. Does anybody know if this is a common major and if not will it help me get in?!!?!

<p>UCSD accepts to the school not the major so your major doesn’t affect whether or not the school will accept you. Also, it looks like Environmental Systems isn’t impacted which means if you are accepted to the school you can take it without any additional requirements or admissions processes. So no, it will not help you get into the school, but yes if you are accepted to the school you will get into your major.

I’m a sophomore here at ucsd (who’s transferring to ucla (but that’s only for their art program)) and environmental systems is a pretty up and coming major that sounds like it’s really good. I know a lot of people in there, and no, it’s not impacted, so take that for what it’s worth.</p>
