Hi!

I have a really curious question. Does going to UCSD as an undergraduate give you any higher of a chance (even a little) of being accepted into UCSD's Skaggs School of Pharmacy?

I'm really debating between attending UC Davis or UCSD both with a major in Pharmaceutical/Pharmacological Chemistry. I love both Davis and SD but if attending SD helps me (in any way) get into their pharmacy school, I might really consider SD because I'm really considering applying for UCSD's Skaggs School of Pharmacy.

ANY input would be really appreciated! Thank you!!. :))

Check on the website at Skagg’s to see if they list what undergraduate institutions their students came from. If there’s a large percentage of UCSD undergrads in the PharmD program, that should answer your question.

I heard if you are an undergrad at UCSD, it would favor your chances of getting into their UCSD SKAGGS School of Pharmacy program. They probably have a joint pharmacy-undergrad program or something along the lines of that. Also, I heard they have some benefits that are given to their undergrad students that makes their students better candidates compared to other universities. But this is information I heard by word of mouth. I do not have a source that I can show you that states this information. I believe best way is to contact UCSD and ask about their pharmacy program for more information.
