it's a catholic school and they're pretty anal about the alcohol policy.. so i'm not sure if you'll be finding many parties there, lol. but if it's parties you want then head on over to SDSU, that's where the real fun is ;)

anyways, i'm kinda on the same boat. i'm having a really hard time convincing my parents that USD isn't bad. They want me to go to UCSD instead, and the only reason for that is because it's more well known.

i agree with them on this though because whenever i talk to people, they all give me this puzzled look and say, "you mean UCSD, right?" They always get it mixed up and it's actually quite embarrassing :x

so can someone please reassure me that I won't regret going to USD. Money really isn't an issue because both schools gave me just enough to cover all expenses. so putting financial issues aside, which school is better? USD or UCSD?

Depends on what you think is better. I chose to go to USD over UCSD just this past weekend because I prefered the smaller class sizes, smaller student body, honor's program, type of students, and the programs that they offered that were specific to my life plans.
Yes, USD is not as well known in social circles, but in the business world it is highly regarded, they have some top-notch professors and students. The real thing is that you have to decide which one fits you better, I doubt you could go wrong academically with either.

Both are good schools. I have heard UCSD is hard for a freshman socially, from many sources. My D chose USD because of the close relationship with professors, smaller class sizes, honors college but it depends on what your learning style is. Best way to be sure is to spend a night on campus and sit in on a class. Congradulations on 2 great choices. You really can not go wrong either way.
