UCSD v. UCI

University of California, San Diego (Marshall college) v. University of California, Irvine (School of Social Science)

SO i just got accepted to both schools.. yay.
But the problem is that i dont know which to choose.
I applied undeclared to both schools, since i didn't know what i wanted to major in.
Now, 6 months later, i think i want to go into the business field.
But which school should i choose?
*Irvine has a relatively new, and potentially great business program, but the school in general doesn't seem as competitive.
*San Diego is the 7th best public school in the nation, yet the only thing they have close to business is management science.

Also- UCI's business program is impacted, so i have no guarentees on being able to transfer out of their school of social science and into business, but they Business Economics under the school of Social Science.

Im so confused right now. HELP!

Hey congrats I got into those same schools also!
Go with what you will major with. So if UCI is indeed better at business, pick UCI; the fact that UCSD is more competitive overall means nothing if it offers little in regards to your major.
Also, even though UCI’s business is impacted, you can still transfer; just work hard.

I’m in the same dilemma man! As of right now, I am leaning towards attending UCI for business admin since only 100 kids are accepted each year!

I go to UCI and I’m in the Business Econ major. The business admin is new and highly competitive so if you get in you, congrats to you. It definitely beats going to UCSD as a business economics major. Business Econ between UCSD and UCI: I’d go with UCSD just because it’s a tiny bit more prestigious than UCI. I personally am applying as a change of major from social sciences (bus. econ) to the business admin program and I can tell you it is HARD!! They only let in like 10-15 transfer/change of major students a year!

DUDE, idk is it even possible to transfer into business econ??
What iif i can’t transfer into business admin?
Should i just go to UCSD and then apply for grad schoool at UCI?
The only reason i think that i was to go to UCSD is because… well, its the 7th best public school in the NATION! …and UCI is 14th.
sighs
