so I am stuck in deciding between a B.A. in CS from Berkley or B.S. in CS from UCSD or UCSC. I got into the College of Letters and Science in Berkley, Undeclared in UCSD, and into Jack Baskin School of Engineering in UCSC. I recognize that Berkley has a prestigious name and that UCSD teaches more theoretical which employers are not very fond of. But then I can only get a B.A. in CS from Berkley,(I am a math person, i don't mind studying other subjects either so studying for a BA wouldn't annoy me) would I be put in a disadvantage by having a B.A.? Would Employers care? Also how is the program at UCSC?

bump, plz help, may 1st coming up fast

Given that most undergrads change their majors during their undergrad years, I would go to Berkeley. Also a Math major can get you a LONG way in various fields. A friend’s son received a Math degree from Penn and received a pretty lucrative job on Wall Street for an equities firm. Cal’s rep is tremendous, I would not pass on it.
