Looking for some advice~My intended major is Bio Med engineering or Biochemistry. And both UCSD and GIT have given offers. Sometimes I want to have some humanity class; and I heard GIT at this aspect is rather narrow though it do have an excellent Eng Education. Is anyone here can give me some advice ?~

ucsd is ranked higher in bio medical engineering i think but also i was in Atlanta the worst weather ever haha!

UCSD will make you take 2 years of GE’s so you will have your fill of humanities classes. Also, UCSD is located in the heart of the Bio Med “Silicon Valley” in San Diego. For that major in particular UCSD is very, very hard to beat. GIT is an amazing school as well – but, focus on your major and make the decision based on that. You show your location as Hangzhou. UCSD will have a far greater Asian student population than GIT. So, as a Chinese, UCSD may make you feel more comfortable and you will be able to get Asian food in far greater abundance and variety in CA than GA. However, I know some folks (we are Asian mixed) that purposefully chose schools with fewer Asians to avoid being in an Asian ghetto environment. UCSD is about 44% and GIT is 22% Asian.

Actually USNWR ranks GT’s BME program #2 in the country for both undergraduate and graduate. GT also is #4 in the nation in graduating asian engineering undergraduates. I love San Diego, but Atlanta does not lack in number or variety of asian restaurants or food markets. And while the climate in SD is milder, Atlanta’s weather probably is not much different from Hangzhou.
