UCSD vs UCI computer science?

What school has a better program? I have read that UCSD is tied with UCLA in their computer science ranking (14th) but I didn't even see UCI in the list.

Also just by looking at the curriculum it seems that I would have a much easier time at UCI.

I haven't visited either school but from what I hear UCSD is better? What do you guys think?

I also got into UCD, UCR, UCSB and CSULB. Should I be considering these schools as well?

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Uh, go ahead and visit each campus. Once you’ve verified that you’d be fine with each campus and its surrounding area, then worry about rankings. UCSD is considered slightly better, but it’s still not Stanford or MIT, so your life won’t be over if you choose UCI instead. Your personal projects, open source contributions, research, etc. will matter more than the choice between UCSD and UCI.

Yes, definitely visit each campus.

Also, the college you got into at UCSD might matter too. Hopefully, you got into one that makes it easier for you to graduate as an engineer.

Definitely consider UCD and UCSB. They’re great schools and either one might actually be right for you.
