Hi there.

So I am a transfer student transferring into a Chemical Engineering major.
I've gotten accepted into both UCI and UCSD for the fall, and I liked both schools when I visited. However, I don't know a whole bunch of details on either (ie. programs, rankings, etc.)

I also got accepted into UCSB, but only into Chemistry, which was my alternate major.
Although I've heard that UCSB's Chem Eng. Program is very highly ranked country-wide, it is an impacted major, and I'm not guaranteed to be accepted into it if I go there. Plus I've lived in the Santa Barbara area my whole life, and I'm kinda ready to get expand my horizons. So UCSB isn't looking as prospective at the moment... but tell me why if it should be!

I'd love any opinions or stats, etc. on the matter. Tell me why I should choose one or another!

As for what I'm looking for: I'm not a partier, but I like to have an active social life. I'm looking for jobs/internships/opportunities in my field. I work hard, and I'm ready to finish up my degree. I also like recreation such as hiking, the beach, downtowns, etc.

Thanks in advance!
