UC Berkeley vs. UCLA vs. UCSD
I'm really split between three UC's right now, for a molecular bio/ biochem major and pre-med track:

-UC Berkeley

-UCLA (Biochem)

-UCSD, John Muir college (Biochem/ molecular cell biology), regents scholar (priority registration, 2k scholarship, other priveleges)

I know that UCSD's bio program is supposedly ranked very high in the nation (is it just graduate program though?), UC Berkeley is the number one public school, and UCLA is just appealing in its overall well-roundedness. I'm considering minoring in music, but I don't consider this a priority. The scholarship monetary award I recieved from SD is not really a factor, but the perks that come with it might be. I just wanted thoughts, if I'm a med school hopeful what's my best bet?

Have you visited all the campuses yet?

Are you a Regent Scholar at any of them?

^yes… OP listed “regent scholar” under UCSD.

According to the Gourman Report, UCSD’s biology undergraduate program is ranked higher than Cal’s and UCLA’s.

Gourman Report undergraduate biology rankings

Caltech
MIT
Yale
Harvard
Wisconsin
UC San Diego
UC Berkeley
U Colorado
Columbia
Stanford
U Washington
U Chicago
Duke
Wash U St Louis
UCLA

Keep in mind that many people criticize Gourman for not being open with what the grading criteria are. Also, there are so many specializations within biology… I don’t get why a ranking system would just lump all of them together into one general subject.

Nevertheless, nobody disputes that UCSD is an extremely strong school for biology. You can’t go wrong with Cal or UCLA either. Visit the schools and see which of them suits you the best.

As for you minoring in music… I’m a music major and I love the department here. A huge reason why I love UCSD so much is because I’m involved with the wonderful department.

if i were you i’d choose UCSD
