I got rejected from UCSB, which is where i really wanted to go (I"m a communications major), but i got into UCSD. I have finished IGETC, and meet the minimum GPA requirement, AND i had a TAG. (why didn't they accept me???) I'm thinking of appealing to SB though since even though I'm a good student, i like to have a good time and i think the atmosphere is better for me there. (I heard UCSD is super competitive and has a dead social life).
So which is better UCSD or UCSB?

UCSB in terms of social life, but UCSD for academic. Personally, I’d choose UCSB over UCSD any day because they’re both a very reputable school and it doesn’t matter if one is slightly better by a little. What matters is that you enjoy the next few years of your life and live the college experience to the fullest :)
