BioEngineering:Pre-med

UCSD vs. USC

What do you think...?

UCSD is 3rd according to USNWR.

well bioengineering/pre-med wise, i heard UCSD is better.

USC might be bit better if you want to get good GPAs for med school... since privates actually take good care of you and etc.

Hey, I need opinions. Which is better for engineering/physics: full ride to UCSD or no aid at Cornell?

well engineering/physics wise, i heard cornell is really really good... not sure about ucsd tho.. i know ucsd is good for bio/pre-med but not sure about physics.

Ucsd is around 15 or 16 for physics...not bad at all. Also consider that over 4 years, Cornell will wind up costing you around 180k [including fee increases]. If you can justify the 180k, then Cornell might work...otherwise, well ;)

Slorg...c'mon. You're kidding, right? Also, how are you getting a full ride at a UC school? No loans?

Full ride to UCSD > Paying $180k for Cornell, especially since UCSD will be much easier to get a high GPA.

UCSD definitely has a better Bioengineering program than USC.
It's ranked in the top 3 nationwide.
